1. President of The Urban League of Arkansas’ Young Professionals, Thurman Green, III Selected for National Emerging Leaders Program 

On Monday, the National Urban League announced their 2021 cohort of its Emerging Leaders Program. Mr. Green was selected as one of the 21 participants in the program.  

The Emerging Leaders Program is a competitive development opportunity for non-profit and community-based professionals to develop analytical and critical leadership skills. This year, the program has partnered with Georgetown Business for Impact, an education, research, and consulting group within Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.

Julia Wright, elder daughter of Richard Wright, will discuss the recent publication of the full manuscript of her father’s 1941 searing novel about state-sanctioned torture and murder of a Black man by police officers.
