1. Arkansas Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission to Host Community Easter Egg Hunt
The Arkansas Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission invites families to a fun-filled Easter Egg Hunt at 2 p.m. April 19, 2025, on the Arkansas State Capitol lawn, 500 Woodlane St., Little Rock. This free community event will bring families together in the spirit of unity, joy, and service.
The Easter egg hunt, open to children ages 2 to 11, will feature hundreds of eggs filled with treats, special prizes, and activities. Families also can enjoy music and opportunities to engage with community leaders and volunteers.
“This event is about more than just Easter eggs — it’s about bringing people together and celebrating community,” DuShun Scarbrough, the commission’s executive director, said. “Dr. King’s legacy was built on service and unity, and this event provides a wonderful opportunity for us to come together in that same spirit.”
The commission remains dedicated to promoting racial harmony, social justice, and service throughout the state. The Easter egg hunt is one of many initiatives aimed at engaging the community and fostering connections among Arkansans. Families are encouraged to arrive early and bring baskets to collect eggs.
