LITTLE ROCK, AR (June 17, 2025) — Dr. Charity Smith-Allen, a respected educational leader and champion for public policy reform, has officially announced her candidacy for the Arkansas Senate, District 15. The seat, currently held by Senator Fred Love, will be open in the upcoming election.
With a lifelong dedication to education, equity, and empowerment, Dr. Smith-Allen enters the race with an extensive record of public service. She has served as Assistant Commissioner of Education for the State of Arkansas, Lead Planner for Desegregation, and currently serves as Principal Education Associate at Fetterman & Associates, Chair of the Division of Education at Philander Smith University, and Vice President of the Arkansas Minority Health Commission.
